Jerry Lee Lewis

I got a message on my service that Mick Fleetwood called and that I should meet him at a film production studio the following afternoon to shoot "a production shot." Hmmm, I said to myself, better prepare for anything and promptly went to the photo store and picked 60 rolls of film. My name was at the gate when I arrived at the studio, and I was ushered down a corridor of dressing rooms with name plates on the doors...Emmy Lou Harris, Keith Richard, Mick Fleetwood, Jerry Lee Lewis, Gary Busey, Dick Clark. I still had no idea what was going on. Finally, I found Mick who said that Dick Clark has a new show called "Salute," where a celebrity is asked to pick a dream band and "Salute" would put together that band.
This show was on Jerry Lee Lewis. He played all his great songs with all those names that I saw on the dressing rooms. I remember that throughout the show I kept on looking over my shoulder for the hordes of photographers that should be there any second but it turned out this was mine exclusively. I was glad that I had all that film. Lesson: Always buy more film than you need. It's the cheapest thing about photography and often you're in a situation where you can't simply run out and get some more.
