George Benson
This show happened only once and I was the only photographer to capture it on film. Plus it was one of the few rare times that I would use flash to shoot a show. Benson was to do four nights in New York. Each night was to be a different show, either with the opening act or with whom he played. This night featured some of the biggest names in jazz and electric guitar innovators: Gabor Zabo, Les Paul and Buckie Putizerilli. As there was no light to speak of, I shot with strobe on camera and waited for the end of the show to do most of my shooting because of the flash. The last few numbers they all got together for this group shot.
